MS. Manuscript Collections

This collection contains biographical information, papal orders, photographs, correspondence, memorabilia, and information the philanthropic endeavors of College of St. Thomas alumnus and oil industry entrepreneur I. A. O’Shaughnessy (1885-1973).

The majority of the letters in the Austin Clarke collection are between Phillip Marcus and Austin Clarke. The letters discuss Clarke's views on Marcus's writings as well as his insight on medieval Irish literature and the influence of W. B. Yeats on Irish literature.

The National Federation of Catholic College Students – Saint Paul Regional Council collection contains correspondence, programs and other administrative materials relating to both the regional and national organizations.  The bulk of the materials  date from 1948 – 1951.

The collection includes a program, newspaper accounts, audio recordings and other miscellaneous materials documenting the Ninth National Eucharistic Congress held in Saint Paul, Minnesota, June 23-26, 1941.

The Eamonn O'Toole Papers include letters and scholarly papers received by O'Toole from colleagues.  The collection includes correspondence with a number of individuals prominent in Celtic Studies, including that of Douglas Hyde, first President of the Irish Free State.

The collection includes drafts of stories, plays and lectures written by Victor Power (Victor de Paor, 1930-1987) dating from 1975 -1987.

The collection contains biographical materials, correspondence, sermons and writings, photographs and newspapers clippings relating to the life and career of Msgr. Patrick J. Ryan.

The collection contains materials documenting the organization, meetings, committees, membership and activities of the St. Andrew's Society of Minnesota.

This collection contains subject and family files used as resources by Helen White in writing her book Cornish Cousins of Minnesota.

The Catholic Aid Association of Minnesota records consist of English-language translations of the minutes of the organization's board meetings from 1878 - 1911.
