Biographical or Historical Information
The Human Relations Committee was established in 1969 to investigate and improve the racial climate at the College of St. Thomas. An ad-hoc committee, the group included members of the faculty and the student body. The committee studied and presented recommendations to the president and the college faculty relating to the recruitment of minority students, faculty and staff, the creation of a better social environment on campus and adding new courses which related to the multicultural experiences.
