Biographical or Historical Information
The Aesculapian Club was founded in 1929 by Dr. John Giesen and several College of St. Thomas pre-med students. The club was named for the Greek god of medicine and healing Aesculapius. The group originally formed to explore the science of biology, but later diversified to include social functions and service to the community.
