Biographical or Historical Information

The St. Thomas Mothers' Club was organized in 1938 by a group of College of St. Thomas mothers as a forum for parental interest in their son's activities.  The group merged with a group of St. Thomas Military Academy mothers group in 1944.  After the merger, the group focused their efforts on providing services to the College/Academy and in fundraising. The group also organized card parties and mixers for the Academy students.  The Mothers' Club was instrumental in raising the funds commission and install the Our Lady Queen of Peace statue to commemorate all of the Academy and College students who served in World War I and World War II.
