Biographical or Historical Information
The College of St. Thomas opened the New College in 1975 as a coeducational evening division for non-traditional students. Initially this division offered full term courses toward a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as non-credit "mini-courses" on various topics. The name of this division was changed to the School of Continuing Studies in 1997. In 2003, this adult education division was closed.
