Biographical or Historical Information
Founded in 1974 by College of St. Thomas Business professors Theodore Frederickson and Michael Evers, the Small Business Institute (SBI) has been instrumental in the success and growth of many businesses in the Twin Cities area. SBI utilizes the expertise of UST business faculty and students to provide business consulting, primarily in the area of business marketing to small business and non-profits.

The records in the collection were received by the University of St. Thomas Archives in several accessions from the Small Business Institute.
Processing Information
Shannon Scott and Melissa Murphy processed this collection and developed the finding aid in 2010. Additions were added in 2011 and 2013.
