Biographical or Historical Information

David Jenkins came to the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity in 1988, as the music assistant to the seminary director of music.  In 1991, he became the director liturgical music.  In that role, he taught church music and directed the worship music of the seminary.  He also served as adjunct organ instructor for the music department of the University of St. Thomas.  He served in these positions until his retirement in 2022.

Jenkins earned the D.M.A. in organ performance and the Performer's Certificate from The Eastman School of Music. He also received degrees in organ from the University of Iowa and Oberlin Conservatory and studied organ in Copenhagen at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory under a Marshall fellowship.
