Scope and Contents
The Communication Studies Department records include annual reports, meeting minutes and subject files relating to the courses and programs offered by the department. Video recordings include a sample of student work as well as episodes of the student produced news program Campus Scope.

Biographical or Historical Information
The Communication Department (later Communication Studies) was created in 1990. Prior to this time, Communication courses were offered through a joint program with the College of St. Catherine through the Speech / Theater Departments.
In 2007, Communication Studies merged with the Journalism Department to form the Department of Communication and Journalism (COJO). In 2021, management of the Communication Studies department moved to the English Department.
