Biographical or Historical Information

The University of St. Thomas’s Board of Trustees is the legal body that governs the university. The Board is the final authority on setting the institution’s important policies, on the definition of major goals, and on the preservation of the academic mission.  The Board of Trustees meets three times yearly, with the Executive Board meeting bi-monthly.

Method of Acquisition

The materials in Board of Trustees records were transferred to the University Archives from the Office of the Presidents in a number of accessions from 1977 to the present.

The collection was processed by Mary Lou Schmidt, 2009 and 2010 with additions in 2012 and 2017.
