Biographical or Historical Information

The first Student Council was organized in 1919 at the College of St. Thomas by students who lived on campus.  It served as an organ of communication with the College administration and planned many campus events.  In 1938, the Student Council merged with the Inter-Club Council to form the All College Council.  The merged group continued its mission to be a conduit of communication between the students and the school's administration, but was also responsible for coordinating the activities of the various student clubs and groups.  The All College Council changed its name to the Undergraduate Student Government in 2007.
